Selembut Kapas "As soft as cotton"

Waktu kecil dulu, saya sering bermain rumput di sawah dibelakang rumah kami yang terletak di desa yang tidak jauh letaknya dari kota. Waktu itu setiap ku dengar deru pesawat, aku pun bersama anak - anak lainnya meninggalkan aktifitas kami dan mencari posisi pesawat itu diangkasa biru dan segumpal awan - awan putih seputih kapas. Dan apabila menemukannya maka kami berlari mengejarnya sambil berteriak "Hei pesawat jatuhkan kami uang untuk jajan".

When I was a child, I often play in the grass located in the field behind of our house in the village close to the city. Every time I hear the roar of the plane, I was with the other children leaving our activities for a while and trying to find the plane searching into a white clouds as white as cotton in the blue sky. And when we found it then we ran after, while yelling "Hey aircraft drop us your money for us".

Pesawat itu tampak kecil sekali diangkasa, seperti seekor semut menempel pada segumpal kapas. Waktu pun terus bergulir dan ketika aku beranjak dewasa, aku diberikan kesempatan untuk melihat pesawat terbang itu tepat didepan mataku. Sungguh besar ukurannya. Aku sangat ingin menaikinya dan terbang bersamanya. Sungguh besar karunia Tuhan, sehingga aku pun bekerja di perusahaan penerbangan dan aku pun pernah terbang duduk di cockpitnya. Dalam sebuah penerbangan aku pernah terbangun terkejut tatkala melihat hamparan awan putih seperti kapas yang berbentuk beraneka rupa. Aku pun melihat kebawah dan teringat masa - masa kecilku dulu.

It looked very small in the skies, like an ant attached to the cotton wad. Time was running out and when I was growing up, I was given the opportunity to see the aircraft right in front of my eyes. It was a very large one. Then my curiosity become higher to get on and fly with that aircraft. It was a great gift of God, so I was working in the airline company and I had been sitting in cockpit of my flight. In a flight I ever woke up pleasantly surprised when seeing the expanse of white clouds like cotton shaped to many kind of shape. I was looking down and remembering on the past time of my childhood.

Waktu kecil dulu, aku sempat berfikir bagaimana rasanya berada di sebuah pesawat terbang yang tampak kecil diudara, dan sekarang tatkala aku berada di atas ketinggian melewati pulau - pulau yang tampak sama dari atas, aku berfikir mungkin ada banyak anak - anak kecil sedang berlari mengejar pesawat ini.

When I was a child, I was thinking how does it feel to be in a small aircraft that appear in the blue sky, and now when I was at an altitude passing over the island that observed the same from above, I thought there are a lot of children were running to catch this plane.

"Kapas itupun terbang jauh tertiup angin dan jatuh entah dimana".Sama halnya diriku ini, anak desa yang merantau keluar dari "desaku yang kucinta". Menjelajahi dunia ini karena keinginan untuk terbang dengan pesawat terbang waktu kecil dulu. Aku rindu pulang ke rumah, untuk berbaring di pantai bersama ayahku yang sudah tua sembari melihat ke atas memandang pesawat terbang itu dan menceritakan pengalamanku.

"That cottons then fly away blown by the wind and will fall somewhere that never predicted" .The same condition on me, a country boy who wander out of "my beloved village". Exploring the world because of the desire to fly the airplanes since I was a child. I miss home now, to lie on the beach with my old father as we will look up and see the plane while telling my experience.
