Kota Piru Di Pulau Seram Maluku Indonesia (Piru City Seram Island, Moluccas Indonesia)

Tahun 2000 saya bekerja di salah satu maskapai penerbangan Indonesia di bandara Patimura di Ambon dan sekarang sudah sekian lama saya kembali mendapatkan kiriman foto-foto indah dari seorang teman "Heidy" yang sekarang tinggal disebuah daerah di Maluku yakni Kota Piru. Untuk menuju ke kota Piru sampai saat ini masih menggunakan moda transportasi laut yakni ferry ASDP dari pelabuhan Liang di Tulehu menuju Waipirit, kemudian harus menempuh perjalanan sekitar 1,5 jam. Kota Piru adalah ibu kota kabupaten Seram Bagian Barat ( SBB ). Sungguh berbeda saat saya berkunjung ke tempat ini dulu yang mana jalan raya masih lengang dan sempit serta ditumbuhi rumput yang tinggi. Sekarang tampak pembangunan semakin baik dan jalan tampak terbangun dengan baik.

In the year of 2000 I was working on one of Indonesian airlines at Patimura airport in Ambon and now for a long time passed by then again I received beautiful photos from a friend "Heidy" who now lives in an area in Moluccas, called Piru City. Going to Piru city, until now, is still using sea transportation mode, the ASDP ferry from the port of Liang in Tulehu to Waipirit, then it has to travel around 1.5 hours via land. Piru City is the capital of the West Seram District (SBB). It was really different when I visited this place, when the road was still deserted and narrow and tall grass overgrown. Now it seems that development is getting better and the road seems to be well built.

 

Dulu saat saya berkunjung meski penuh keraguan mengingat konflik yang terjadi di Ambon pada tahun 2000, saya tiba dipelabuhan Waipirit yang mana saat itu saya melakukan perjalanan bersama teman-teman anggota Polisi yang bertugas disana. Sebuah perjalanan yang sangat mengesankan. Jalanya memang beraspal mulus namun masih sempit dan sepi pengendara dan di sisi kanan kirinya terdapat rumput yang tinggi seperti menembus sebuah lorong dan persis disebelah kanan terdapat hamparan hutan yang masih alami. Maka tidak hiran jika sewaktu-waktu terkejut melihat kadal atau ular besar melintas menyebrang jalan raya. Sampai kepada mengunjungi Teluk Piru yang indah. Kami juga melewati daerah transmigrasi bernama Pelita jaya, dan melewati kota kecamatan yakni Kota Gemba yang masih lengang. Jadi kami menyusururi pinggiran pulau Seram sisi barat untuk menuju ibukota kabupaten terbarat di Pulau Seram ini.

In the past when I visited that place, even though I was full of doubts, pointing on the conflict that occurred in Ambon in 2000, I arrived at the port of Waipirit, which at that time I traveled with friends who works as policeman there. A very memorable trip. The road was paved smoothly but still in narrow and deserted, and on the left and right of the road was a tall grass like penetrating a passageway and just to the right side of the road there was an expanse of unspoiled forest. So it was not desirable at any time surprised by a large lizard or snake crossing across the street. Up to visiting the beautiful Piru Bay. We were also passing the transmigration area called Pelita Jaya, and through the subdistrict town of Gemba which was still deserted. So we traveled along the western edge of Seram Island to get to the westernmost capital of Seram Island.

Saat ini tampak sungguh berbeda. Jalan yang lebar dan bersih dan sebuah gerbang yang berdiri kokoh memberikan nuansa tersendiri dalam pembangunan. Dan sangat disayangkan saat dulu saya tidak mengambil foto daerah ini satupun sehingga tampak perbedaannya setelah sekian lama.

Now it looks really different. The road is wide and clean and a gate that stands firm gives its own nuances in development. And unfortunately I did not take a single photo of this area long time ago in order to show the differences to present time.

Namun yang masih tampak sama adalah hutan yang masih terjaga dihiasi oleh langit biru dan formasi awan yang indah serta kebersihan halaman rumah-rumah masyarakat di Maluku yang masih terjaga.

But what still look the same are the forest that is still preserved well decorated by blue sky and beautiful cloud formations and also the cleanliness of the courtyard of people's houses in Moluccas that still well maintained.
