Berkunjung ke Taman Hutan Raya Djuanda (Visits to Juanda Forest Park)

Berkunjung ke Taman Hutan Raya Djuanda seolah kita dapat berwisata alam dan sejarah dalam satu tempat yang sama. Tempat ini terletak tidak jauh dari kota Bandung tepatnya di daerah Dago Atas, dan sudah dilengkapi oleh sarana yang cukup lengkap. Taman Hutan Raya Djuanda atau lebih dikenal oleh masyarakat setempat sebagai Dago Pakar adalah sebuah hutan kota yang berjarak sekitar 3 Km dari terminal Dago. Tahura Djuanda berada di ketinggian 800 sampai 1350 Meter di atas permukaan laut, apabila anda ingin merasakan keheningan dan kesejukan udara sambil melihat beberapa peninggalan masa penjajahan Belanda dan Jepang di sinilah tempatnya.  

Visits to Juanda Forest Park as we can traveled into both nature and history in the same place. This place is not far from the city of Bandung exactly in Dago Atas, and this place is equipped by a fairly complete means. Juanda Forest Park, better known by local people as Dago Pakar is a jungle town which is about 3 km from the terminal Dago. Tahura Juanda at an altitude of 800 to 1350 Meter above sea level, if you want to feel the silence and the cool of the air while looking at some of the relics of the colonial Dutch and Japanese, it's here the place.  

Gua Belanda,  Belanda membuat terowongan ini untuk keperluan saluran air bagi pembangkit listrik tenaga air pertama di Indonesia yaitu PLTA Bengkok. Namun pada perkembangannya, air untuk pembangkit listrik kemudian disalurkan menggunakan pipa-pipa besar, sedangkan terowongan yang membelah bukit tersebut digunakan untuk kepentingan militer khususnya sebagai pusat telekomunikasi. Selanjutnya terowongan-terowongan tersebut ditambah sehingga di dalamnya terdapat ruangan-ruangan lain termasuk penjara dan tempat interogasi.  

The Netherlands Cave, Dutch was developing this tunnel in order to channel water for the purposes of the first hydroelectric power generation in Indonesia, namely Bangkok hydro-power. But in its development, the water was then piped to a large pipes to support the power plants, while the tunnels that crossing the hills then used for military purposes, especially as a telecommunications center. Furthermore extended tunnels were developed so inside on the tunnels were found other rooms including the prisons and interrogation room.  

Gua Jepang.  Setelah Jepang masuk ke Indonesia, tentara Jepang kemudian mengambil alih tempat ini dan membangun gua lainnya sebagai basis pertahanan mereka tidak jauh dari gua Belanda. Jepang menggunakan tenaga kerja paksa sehingga konon tidak sedikit korban yang berjatuhan selama pembuatan gua ini. Saat Jepang menyerah terhadap tentara sekutu, tempat ini adalah pertahanan terakhir bagi tentara Jepang yang ada di Bandung. Setelah Jepang meninggalkan Indonesia, gua inipun terlantar, tertutup oleh semak belukar dan hutan. Sampai kemudian ditemukan kembali pada sekitar tahun 1965, konon pada waktu itu masih banyak ditemukan sisa-sisa peninggalan tentara Jepang seperti senjata dan amunisi di dalamnya. Kondisi gua Belanda terlihat jauh lebih baik dari gua Jepang, selain memang gua Belanda sudah beberapakali direnofasi, kondisi gua ini memang berbeda, gua Jepang sepertinya belum 100% selesai pengerjaannya, sehingga masih ditemukan terowongan-terowongan yang terlihat setengah jalan. Kondisi gua Jepang juga dibiarkan seperti aslinya, beberpa kelelawar terlihat tinggal di langit-langit gua, sedangkan gua Belanda permukaannya sudah dilapisi semen. Ayo kita masuk kedalam gua itu!. Ada beberapa gambar yang kabur dikarenakan kondisi gelap didalam gua.  

The Japanese cave. Arrival of Japanese into Indonesia, then their army took over this place and developed other caves as their defense base is not far from the Netherlands cave. Force labor was the method of the cave development by Japanese that supposedly many victims who died during the making of this cave. When Japan surrendered to the allied forces, this place was the last defense for Japanese soldiers in Bandung. After the Japanese left Indonesia, this cave then abandoned, even covered by scrub and forest. Until then rediscovered in about 1965, at that time there were still many remnants of the Japanese army such as a weapon and ammunition found in it. The Dutch cave conditions look better than the Japanese caves, however that the Dutch Cave has been renovated for many times which causing this cave is a different condition since the first time discovered, and The Japanese cave seems not 100% complete on it's renovation, so it is still found tunnels that look half way. Japan also left the cave conditions as the original, some of bats seen live on the ceiling of the cave, while the Netherlands cave surface is coated with cement. Let's go into the cave !. There are some blurry images due to dark conditions inside the cave.
